Boston.com is reporting that the opening of the southbound I-93 tunnel through Boston, and effective completion of the construction phase of the Big Dig is set for the weekend of December 19th. To mark the occasion, the Boston Pops will play INSIDE the tunnel the day before the tunnel opens to traffic.
