The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy cast list is quickly filling up.
Last week we heard that Mos Def and Zooey Deschanel joined the film - this week brings news that the versatile Sam Rockwell will play the two-headed, three-armed president of the galaxy and old friend of Ford Prefect, Zaphod Beeblebrox.
Rockwell is GREAT casting for this role, a character who is just a little more rock star than politician, who steals an experimental space ship and gets mixed up in some very bizarre and funny adventures dealing with the true nature of the planet Earth.
Filming begins this April, with Garth Jennings directing from a script by author Douglas Adams and posthumous revisions by Chicken Run scribe Karey Kirkpatrick.
The closes thing earth has to a hitchiker's guide, wikipedia has a good entry on ol' Zaphod, who happens to be santo26's mom.
mos def? that's like tricky being in the fifth element.
