03/07/2004: Urban Archaeology Urban Archaeology

Urban Archeology in Rotterdam

While doing research for my next novel, I happened upon this wonderful site, which while not updated for sometime, contains some wonderful pictures of the insides of abandoned buildings and train stations and some fabulous graffiti. Even some areas that may have been ancient burial grounds, now haunted forever, despite being covered in concrete.

This, to me, reaffirms my belief that there are many others besides myself who are interested in finding the hidden treasures within urban settings, and just how universal our curiosity can be. Take a look at the site, particularly the abandoned city hall.

me too...in prague.

I was shot on video, walking in front of a train as it approached. I had no idea how close the train was coming...it was exhilarating and scary at the same time. All by a used up train station.
