Jesse Ventura Speaks Out For Gay Marriage Rights
from Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise

Former Navy Seal, WWF Champ, Governor of Minnesota, and current Harvard visiting professor Jesse Ventura came out in support of gay marriage yesterday.

"If the private sector churches do not want to honor a gay or lesbian marriage, that's fine, that's their business to do so. That's the private sector," Ventura said. "But the public sector should not be out taking rights away from citizens of the United States of America."

He also announced that should he run for president he will select Charles Barkley as his running mate.
Famous Round Mound of Rebound Quotes (from BrainyQuotes):
  • My family got all over me because they said Bush is only for the rich people. Then I reminded them, 'Hey, I'm rich'.
  • These are my new shoes. They're good shoes. They won't make you rich like me, they won't make you rebound like me, they definitely won't make you handsome like me. They'll only make you have shoes like me. That's it.
  • I don't care what people think. people are stupid.
  • You know it's going to hell when the best rapper out there is white and the best golfer is black.

and from the Mind himself:
  • I asked him [Dalai Lama] the most important question that I think you could ask - if he had ever seen Caddyshack.
  • Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers.
  • Patriotism is voluntary. It is a feeling of loyalty and allegiance that is the result of knowledge and belief. A patriot shows their their patriotism through their actions, by their choice.

When Jesse ran for governor in 1998, he ran against Norm Coleman,a bland Republican and Skip Humphrey, a bland Democrat, both from rich political families. They were so boring, and the Mind was so un- politician- like, that he beat them in a three- way race.

Oh boy, would I love to see Ventura/ Barkley beat Bush, Jr. and JFK II. But we need to let Sir Charles handle the negotiations with Osama.
