Nauru Trying To Come Correct

Nauru has appealed to the Pacific Islands Forum for help in developing suitable legislation to improve government accountability and good leadership.
The move follows a meeting on the Leadership Code issue called last week by Nauru's acting president, Kieren Keke.
The gathering was attended by senior government ministers, public servants and community leaders, as well as officials from the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.
Dr Keke is said to have told the meeting that the people of Nauru do not want a repeat of the past where huge sums have been lost to unaccountable mismanagement, extravagance and corruption.
